LG Chem to Build Focus Batteries;

Ford is working with LG Chem to produce the batteries for the Ford Focus electric compact vehicle that will be produced in the United States in 2011. Pre-owned Focus models can be found at a Used Cars Kansas City dealership. The Focus electric vehicle is Ford's first fully electric compact vehicle offering. GM is releasing a Volt model that will be a strong opponent to the Ford Focus electric vehicle, and will be released gradually over the next few years in larger and larger numbers. GM's Saturn brand is no longer being produced, and previous Saturn models can be serviced at a local Saturn Service.

Ford is also releasing an electric Ford Transit Connect vehicle that will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2010. Volkswagen announced that they would get into the mix for electric and hybrid vehicles, and the latest VW models can be bought at Peoria VW Dealership.

The latest Ford models have been exciting developments from the company that hopes to turn the corner in 2010 to become the very profitable automaker that it once was. Ford has produced a net profit for the first half of 2010, and it has used the profit to help the company pay off some previous debts.

The Focus electric vehicle will be able to be recharged on standard electric outlets. The vehicle will not use any gasoline at all and it will be capable of going 100 miles without a recharge. It will be Ford's second electric vehicle by the time it is launched with the Transit Connect coming out sooner.

Ford has done well in the compact car market with the Ford Focus regular model and the Ford Fiesta which is coming to the United States but has been a major seller in Europe. Ford looks to be turning the corner with its latest offerings and the new Ford Focus hybrid will likely not disappoint small car enthusiasts.
