Tesla and Toyota Working Together!

In case you have never heard of Tesla, they are a California based company that is famous for producing incredibly expensive electric roadsters.  While these vehicles are more performance oriented than most of the line up at San Jose Honda, the Japanese based auto brand has higher sales profits because of name association and familiarity that Tesla has not established for themselves yet.  The latest news in the green auto world is the plan for Toyota and Tesla to team up and make an electric version of their RAV4; you can probably find a used one over at Birmingham Honda.  We are already seeing the mainstream release of electric vehicles from brands like Chevrolet and New York Nissan, but the RAV4 will be the first viable electric SUV in mass production.

The current RAV4 offers drivers some of the best gas mileage in the small SUV class, but the electric version will be expected to travel up to 100 miles of real-world driving in between charges.  Tesla and Toyota are engaging in a trade of sorts to help make an electric RAV4 a reality.  The goal for mass production is 2012, and that will also be the same time that the Toyota RAV4 receives a makeover and enters its next generation design.  First off, though, Tesla has to produce a fleet of prototypes so that Toyota can make suggestions for improvement to their concept design.

Toyota has taken a $50 million equity stake in Tesla and Tesla will in turn gain control of the NUMMI plant that Toyota had built in Fremont, California.  The plant currently is not being used, so Tesla will have no problem beginning production there.  We first saw an attempt at an electric RAV4 back in 1997, but it only lasted until 2003 with very limited sales and production.  At the 2010 L.A. Auto Show, Toyota brought a version of their electric RAV4 but the stylistic design changes were minimal.  Hopefully the design that Toyota and Tesla can agree upon features some modern improvements to the outdated interior of the current RAV4.

NEVs Taking Over?

If you are tired of waiting for your Volt to arrive at Chevrolet Rome, then perhaps you should consider buying one of the new NEV (neighborhood electric vehicles) that are currently available.  There are five that are being mass produced already and they are meant to drive less than 50 miles between charges.  You will not find one at Pinconning Chevrolet but their own electric vehicle should arrive on dealer lots very soon.  Not all five of the NEVs can be purchased in the United States, but they can all be repaired at Rick Ball Auto Mall Service if needed.

1.    GEM (Global Electric Motorscars) is affiliated with Chrysler and you have probably seen these vehicles around large shopping complexes or college campuses.  In addition to making passenger only models, GEM also makes three models with a truck bed that is great for landscaping companies or other utility needs.  The price is right for fleet ownership with a base price of $6,795 up to $12,495.

2.    Dynasty iT is found in British Columbia and the price is quite a bit higher, starting out at $14,000 and going up to $25,000.  Drivers have the option of a sedan, truck, convertible, or a combination of those.  The body is made from fiberglass and can obtain a full charge in only 12 hours.

3.    Miles ZX40: This line is slightly larger than most NEVs and has the ability to seat four passengers as well as 41 cubic feet of cargo room when the back seats are folded down.  The price ranges from $14,900 up to $18,900 and there is the option of upgrading to a CD player!

4.    ZENN: An abbreviation for Zero Emissions No Noise, ZENN is quite affordable with a price range of $14,700 up to $15,575.  The advanced technology uses regenerative braking to help increase the amount of charge from the simple act of braking, and this little hatchback can carry two passengers plus 13 cubic feet of cargo.

5.    Columbia ParCar: This open air vehicle can seat either two or four passengers and has the main purpose of local utility jobs.  The price ranges from $9,497 up to $23,770 but these little cars are durable and come in a variety of styles for different needs.

The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side.

Nearly every major car manufacturer has either already come out with a hybrid, or has plans to come out with one. It is said that automakers must maintain a minimum mileage of 27.5 miles per gallon in its product line. If you purchase a hybrid, it will offer you faster and larger engines in the rest of the lines. Some of the most current hybrid cars can get up to 60 miles per gallon on the highway. Along with fuel economy, it boost lower emissions and depreciation than gasoline powered cars. Some time in the future, the Hybrids are expected to get fuel mileage as high as 190 miles per gallon. You can't find that gas mileage in a Chevy from Chevrolet Malibu Dealer.

Though Hybrids and there parts tend to be a little expensive, dealerships provide warranties like free replacements of the most expensive parts. The United States Government also supports the hybrids so much in fact that they are allowing a tax write off for hybrid car ownerships. The Hybrid cars have quite a few environmental benefits and economical benefits. Hybrids like the 2011 VW Jetta of Peoria VW, produce 90 percent less pollutants than comparable non-hybrid cars, by putting less harmful chemicals in the environment. The harmful effects of pollution can be stopped or even reversed.

The Hybrid like the Toyota Camry of Toyota Deals Santa Ana, is powered by two sources. These sources are an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Hybrid cars have no use for plugs, as they are charged by movement of the wheels and strong kinetic energy that is generated through a process called regenerative braking. Environmentalist embrace hybrid cars as a solution to today's pollution problems.

Hybrids From the Inside Out.

The new 2011 Touareg Hybrid, has a new distinct exterior and luxurious and spacious interior. The Touareg hybrid is estimated to achieve 21 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient SUV's in its class. Along with that, test drivers say its transition from gas to electric is extremely smooth. They also say that its fun to drive. Though it is significantly improved, the 2011 Touareg is expected to cost about the same as the last model of Touareg. With it priced around $41,000, the Touareg is one of the most affordable SUV's in its class, unlike SUV's you would find at Alexandria Hyundai. As part of its redesign, the Touareg has lost its permanent four wheel drive system. While the previous model was an off roader, the new Touareg gets an all wheel drive system that makes more of a soft roader. All models now come with a new eight speed automatic transmission.

The 2011 Ford Fusion at Chattanooga Ford Dealers, is the way to go. This Fusion is common for regular drivers, it looks good, prioritizes safety, doesn’t waste fuel and won’t break the bank, if price isn’t an issue, but eco friendliness and fuel economy are priorities, the Ford Fusion Hybrid is a great choice. Ranked at the top of it's class, it has fuel economy ratings of 41 miles per gallon in the city and 36 miles per gallon on the highway. Along with great fuel economy, buyers receive the same excellent performance, high-quality interior finishing and amenities that the 2011 Ford Fusion gasoline models offer. The 2011 Ford Fusion comes with, HD radio to its impressive list of technology features that include, MyKey programmable vehicle key, which you couldn't find in a vehicle at Chevrolet Akron, and available rear view camera system. 2011 Latest on The New Hybrid Vehicles.

A hybrid car is an automobile that is powered by two sources, an internal combustion engine, and an electric motor. Hybrids have no use for plugs, as they are charged by the movement of the wheels, and strong kinetic energy that is generated through a process called regenerative braking. Hybrid cars have quite a few environmental benefits and economical benefits. Hybrids like the ones at Connecticut Honda produce 90 percent less pollutants than comparable non-hybrid cars, like some that you would find at Mazda CT, by putting less harmful chemicals in the environment, the harmful effects of pollution can be slowed down or even reversed.

The United States Government supports hybrid car ownership, by allowing a tax write off. Hybrid parts, tend to be really expensive, but they also have warranties that provide free replacements of the most expensive parts. Don't be Dumb: Drive a Smart Car!

In a commendable last ditch effort to improve sales, Smart USA has a new Facebook campaign that blatantly points out the discrepancies between being smart and being dumb.  No one is going to say that driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata is a dumb move by any means, but Smart wants you to realize that their efficient and non-wasteful ways are the example that the rest of us need to be following.  You local Honda Dealer Virginia has plenty of fuel efficient cars that no one can criticize as being gas guzzlers, and it is the gas guzzlers of the world that Smart is targeting.  When you consider that brands like Woodbridge Nissan are doing more than their fair share at trying to be green with their automobile designs, it is slightly more than infuriating to hear someone say they get around 14 mpg, "but that's good for a truck."  Smart would call that statement dumb and they are correct!

As far as sales go right now, Smart USA has only sold 83,000 units across the globe, which equates to a decline of 14.9%.  Some analysts might argue that taking such an opinionated stance on marketing (calling people dumb) might not be the smartest tactic to welcome buyers through their front doors, but we think it is a great way to get your attention!  The Facebook advertising post doesn't just poke fun at people who drive gas guzzlers; it shines a light on how wasteful Americans have become with their purchase habits.  You would think that given the current economic turmoils that people would be a bit more thrifty with their spending.

The advertisers at Smart point out that their cute little cars are safe and get great gas mileage.  They take up less room in parking lots and less room on highways.  If more people were to drive the Smart ForTwo, the world would likely be a better place.  By driving such large vehicles we have the need to fill them up with stuff.  All that stuff means we spend more money.  It really is a viscous cycle, and it is a cycle that Smart wants to see broken.  So, to sum it all up; don't be dumb, choose Smart!

Hybrid Goes From Sedan to Suv.

The 2011 Ford Fusion at Tenvoorde Ford is the way to go. The 2011 Ford Fusion adds HD radio to its impressive list of technology features that include MyKey programmable vehicle key and available rear view camera system. The appearance and feature packages add a new level of style and sophistication to Fusion's highly acclaimed interior design. It comes with rain sensing wipers and HD radio. Integrated Blind Spot mirrors have been added to cars with out the optional Blind Spot. Information system (BLIS) and the award winning Ford Sync communication and infotainment system can now be integrated with the available touch screen voice activated system. Most car reviewers agree that the 2011 Ford Fusion is ideal for small families. It is practical for city drivers, looks good, prioritizes safety, doesn’t waste fuel and won’t break the bank, if price isn’t an issue, but eco friendliness and fuel economy are priorities, the Ford Fusion Hybrid is a great choice. Ranked at the top of the class, it has fuel economy ratings of 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. In addition to great fuel economy, buyers receive the same sprightly performance and high-quality interior finishing and amenities the 2011 Ford Fusion gasoline models offer.

The new redesigned 2011 VW Touareg Hybrid, almost like the Highlander at Toyota Lexington, has a new sharp exterior, and luxurious and spacious interior. The Touareg Hybrid is estimated to achieve 21 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway, like the hybrids at Titus-Will Toyota, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient Suv's in its class. Along with that, test drivers say its transition from gas to electric is incredibly smooth. The even say its fun to drive. Though it's significantly improved, the 2011 Touareg is expected to cost about the same as the last model. With it priced around $41,000, the Touareg is one of the most affordable Suv's in its class. Lexus Luxury Hybrid Hatchback

When you think of hybrid cars you probably think of a Prius, which can be found at Danvers Toyota Dealerships. The hybrid world will never match the original popularity and success of the Prius, just like no one can really compete with the success of the iPod compared to other MP3 players. Lexus is trying their hand once again at a luxury hybrid car that people will want to buy, and after the mild sales of their Lexus HS 250h, it won’t be too difficult to improve upon. You can find great deals at Master Automotive, but you will need to visit a certified Lexus dealership to catch a glimpse of the brand new 2011 Lexus CT 200h. This new hybrid luxury car might be able to compete with the electric vehicles being released at Salisbury Pohanka Nissan.

The exact pricing of the Lexus CT hasn’t been released yet, but there are estimates it will be in the $30,000 range. The vehicle weighs in at 3,130 pounds which is lighter than the HS but still a little heavier than the Prius. The EPA estimates that you can get 42 mpg around town and 41 mpg on the highway. The CT offers the EV mode, just like the Prius, which allows you to operate in solely electric power at speeds up to 23mph. The list of standard features is handsome like we would expect and the options could likely push you into the $40,000 range.

The 2011 Lexus CT 200h gives drivers the choice of how their hybrid powertrain will perform. The Normal mode is going to give you a typical hybrid driving experience and take advantage of the same engine set up that you find in the Prius. Drivers can switch into Sport mode, which is still fuel efficient but changes the suspension and steering components, making the CT super fun to drive. Lastly, there is Eco driving mode. This is how you will get the best fuel economy out of your cute hatchback luxury hybrid car.

What are You Getting From Your Hybrid?

A hybrid car, also known as an HEV or hybrid electric vehicle, is an automobile that is powered by two sources, an internal combustion engine, and an electric motor. Hybrid cars have no use for plugs, as they are amply charged by the movement of the wheels, and strong kinetic energy that is generated though a process called regenerative braking. Hybrid cars have many environmental benefits and economical benefits.

Some of the most current hybrid cars such as the hybrids at Auto Repair Indianapolis, can get up to 60 miles per gallon on the highway. In addition to fuel economy, they boast lower emission, and depreciation than gasoline powered cars. In the near future, hybrid cars are expected to get fuel mileage as high as 190 miles per gallon. Environmentalist embrace hybrid cars as a solution to today's pollution problems.

Hybrid cars aren't just a fad, nearly every major car manufacturer has announced either the launch of a hybrid car or plans for a launch. A large part of this is due to the Corporate Average Fuel Economy regulation, by which an automaker must maintain an minimum mileage of 27.5 miles per gallon across its product line. By investing in Hybrid technology, they can offer faster, larger engines in the rest of their line.

The United States government supports hybrid car ownership by allowing a tax write off. In 2005, this rebate was as high as $5,000. While it is true that hybrid cars do have expensive parts, they also have warranties that provide free replacement of the most expensive parts for many years. Hybrid cars show much lower deprecation rates than standard gasoline cars. They are now and will continue to be extremely high demand, so hybrid cars keep their values very well, making a hybrid car a sound investment.

Hybrid cars like the ones you find at Bristol Nissan produce 90 percent less pollutants than comparable non hybrid cars you would find at Nissan Washington. By putting less harmful chemicals in the environment, the harmful effects of pollution can be stopped or even reversed.

Nissan Leaf: The Details

We are all familiar with the abundance of hybrid vehicles that you can purchase from Liberty Honda, but how much do you know about the upcoming Nissan Leaf electric vehicle?  It has been widely publicized but sometimes you can use a good refresher about all the specifics.  Plus, because it hasn’t been released yet to dealerships, there is a lot of misinformation out there.  You are still able to buy hybrid vehicles at Ford Dealers Kingston, but the electric vehicles will come to us from Chevrolet and Nissan.  Also, the Civic GX from Hollywood Honda runs on compressed natural gas, which is also very green for the environment.

The looks of the 2011 Nissan Leaf are quite attractive, and Nissan was able to add style to their eco-friendly vehicle.  While the Prius sticks out in the Toyota line up, the Leaf fits in nicely with the Nissan family and even with the Infiniti brand.  Plus, the LED lights are a nice upgrade that you might not expect.  Inside the Leaf you will find comfortable seats for four or five people; that comfort level goes for any compact car.  You can always fit five in the vehicle, but four is a bit easier!  Other thoughtful touches include cruise control, auto climate control, a solar panel on the higher SL trim, and the technology to heat the seats and steering wheel rather than the whole cabin.  After all, these parts of your body sense cold first, so if you can warm them, then you really don’t need to heat the whole cabin.

Under the hood of the car you will find electric batteries; actually, they are under the floor between the wheels.  The technology is advanced enough to produce 80 kilowatts of power and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in ten seconds, which is just enough time to get on a freeway onramp.  The speed tops out at 90 mph, which is done solely to preserve driving charge.  Nissan estimates that you can go between 60 and 120 miles per charge and the factory will install a charging station in your home.

The Latest on the New Hybrids.

The new redesigned 2011 Touareg Hybrid at Phoenix Vw Dealers has a new sharp exterior, and luxurious, and spacious interior. The Touareg Hybrid is estimated to achieve 21 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient Suv's in its class.

Along with that, test drivers say its transition from gas to electric is incredibly smooth. The even say its fun to drive. though it's significantly improved, the 2011 Touareg is expected to cost about the same as the 2010 model. With it priced around $41,000, the Touareg is one of the most affordable Suv's in its class, unlike the Suv's you find at Chevrolet Dealer Louisville.

As Part of its redesign, the Touareg has lost its permanent four wheel drive system. While the previous model was an off roader, the new Touareg gets an all wheel drive system that makes it more of a soft roader. All models now come with a new eight speed automatic transmission.

The impression of the 2011 Chevy Volt at Chevrolet Auto Body, is what you would call mixed. Especially the Volt’s drive train, inspires great engineer reviews, all the more so because its operation is so seamless and simple for even inexperienced drivers. The fact that it salvages know how from the disastrous Two-Mode Hybrid program makes it all the more appealing.

Still, it’s clear that the Volt’s revolutionary drive train and hefty battery dominated development, leaving such details as design, quality impression, backseat accommodations and user interface for non-driving controls short of money and attention.

On the other hand, those who appreciate the Volt’s unique ability to drive 40 miles on electricity with unlimited range will not be overly vexed by these compromises.

2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid

The new redisgned 2011 Touareg Hybrid at Volkswagen Dealer, has a new sharp exterior, and luxurious, and spacious interior. The Touareg hybrid is estimated to achieve 21 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient SUV's in its class. Along with the, test drivers say its transition form gas to electric is extremely smooth. they even say its fun to drive.

Though its significantly improved, the 2011 Touareg is expected to cost about the same as the last model of Touareg you could find at Oil Change Bradenton. With it priced around $41,000, the Touareg is one of the most affordable SUV's in its class. Unlike SUV's you would find at GMC Pittsburgh. All New 2011 Chevy Volt Hybrid!!

Located near Phoenix VW Dealers, and soon to be at Chevrolet Dealer Louisville, are the new 2011 Chevrolet Volts. This vehicle is not a hybrid nor is it a purely electric car. It is actually an electric car with a gasoline powered generator which will kick in when the battery becomes low. You are able to charge the vehicle from a wall outlet at your home and you will be able to travel up to 40 miles on electric power alone. That's further than most people drive in a single day. The Volt battery also will carry an eight year/100,000 mile warranty and would be carried out at Chevrolet Auto Body.

The Volt has not yet been through any crash tests performed by the Federal Government of National Traffic Safety Administration or The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety. We do know that the vehicle will be equipped with anti-lock disc brakes, a regenerative braking system that uses friction from the electric motor to help recharge the battery pack. By 2012 though, Chevrolet intends to include a brake override system. The brake override cuts the signal from the gas pedal when the brake is depressed, so that if both pedals happen to be pressed at the same time, only the brake pedal will work.

All the 2011 Volts that have been shown to the media have featured a white or silver dash with a center stack and leather seats. The center stack is covered with a touch sensitive panel rather than actual buttons. A Large touch screen controls various climate and entertainment functions.

The exterior looks kind of like something from the future, but it's not nearly as bad as the concept they showed in 2007. The vehicle will be a five-door hatchback that's larger than most small cars but smaller than most midsize cars. The shape was defined by aerodynamic requirements. Engineers say that wind resistance proved more important than weight in getting maximum efficiency, per US News.

The only bad things that have been said about the 2011 Chevy Volt is that it only will seat four, has a tiny trunk and will cost you at least one arm and a leg.

Honda CR-Z: Mean and Green

It really was only a matter of time before an auto brand would find a way to effectively compete with the great deals at Cheap Used Cars in Lamesa.  Honda is proud of their brand new 2011 CR-Z hybrid, a small and sporty addition to the hybrid world.  Plus, the price is low enough (starting out at only $19,950) that you won’t have to go into debt with a Boston Bad Credit Auto Loan.  This small hybrid is smaller than their Insight hybrid, a car that was brought back to the market after dwindling sales.  Its new facelift, however, still isn’t stealing away business from the Prius as quickly as Honda had hoped.  Honda is hoping that the nostalgic appearance resembling the CR-X from the 1980s will help sell the new hybrid.  Many drivers are loyal 1980s Honda drivers and seek occasional repairs from places like Body Shop Cape Girardeau

All of the 2011 CR-Z hybrids are front wheel drive and seat two passengers with a rear hatch third door.  Under the hood you will find an inline four cylinder engine coupled with a brushless DC electric motor.  There is an option for a six speed manual transmission or a CVT (continuously variable transmission), both of which produce relatively high fuel economy.  Drivers are going to get 122 horsepower plus 128 pound feet of torque.  That seems like plenty of power, but the CR-Z weighs 2,700 pounds while its muse CR-X only weighed around 1,800 pounds; that extra weight can be attributed to modern safety features plus the weight of those heavy hybrid engine parts.

Drivers can choose from three different trim levels, ranging from $19,950 all the way up to $23,960.  The base model comes nicely equipped with LED taillights, power accessories, stability control, a steering wheel that tilts and telescopes, the choice of driving in sport, normal, or eco mode, cruise control, auto climate control, and USB auxiliary ports for your audio.  There is limited room in the back for cargo, but that is to be expected.  Immediate competitors include the Toyota Prius, Scion tC, and Honda Insight.

Hybrids, Are They Better For The Economy?

Chevrolet Dealer Cleveland is offering the 2010 Silverado 1500-Hybrid. This vehicle combines improved fuel economy with truck capabilities. It is perfect for stop and go drivers because this truck can run on electric power alone at slow speeds and the engine will automatically shut off when stopped in traffic. And compared to gas only vehicles, this hybrid has a 40% increase in the city which gives it the gas mileage as a midsized vehicle.

The Silverado hybrid also has a 3 year/36,000 mile basic warranty and a 5 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. The electric components of the hybrid (batteries, motors and computers) are covered by a 8 year/100,000 mile warranty.

Located near Mazda Service Center are the new 2011 Chevrolet Volts. The Volt battery also will carry an eight year/100,000 mile warranty.

The only bad things that have been said about the 2011 Chevy Volt is that it only will seat four, has a tiny trunk and will cost you at least one arm and a leg.

Now the all new 2011 Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid, which can be found at any Volkswagen Dealer, is another great hybrid SUV. It's transition from gasoline to electric power is hardly noticeable. This vehicle has the ability to coast after the engine has shut down. And even though the engine has shut down all the systems, like power steering, will still work using solely electric power.

The Touareg hybrid is going to be equipped with a 3.0 supercharged V6 engine paired with an electric motor. The Touareg is also estimated to get 21 miles in the city and 25 on the highway. This vehicle is expected to come with three years/36,000 miles basic warranty and a five year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty. They also provide a no-charge scheduled maintenance program for three years or 36,000 miles.

EPA Raises Ethanol to 15%

Right now, any of the cars at Fredericksburg Toyota Dealer can go to the gas station and use any of the fuel types available.  But, if the EPA has their way, then only new vehicles could use the E15, or 15% ethanol gas mixture.  Currently there is only 10% ethanol in our gasoline, and that is satisfactory for the car engineers at Alexandria Mercedes-Benz Videos.  Ethanol is a fuel additive that is derived from corn, and its main claim to fame is that it is a renewable resource, so we have hopes of becoming less reliant on fossil fuels that have a limited quantity.

The people who work at Ford Repair Service in San Diego caution people against using E15, and many auto makers agree that the higher percentages could damage your vehicle’s engine.  There are already warnings in place about the 10% ethanol gasoline, so we can only imagine that 15% would be even worse.  There are studies that show that the ethanol in the gas increases fuel lines to rot, and that over time, engine damage is definite.  Older vehicles can’t use the low-grade 10% ethanol fuel, and they have to pay more for the premium levels.  The same is true if you are buying gas for a lawn mower, your motorcycle, a chain saw, or any type of recreational vehicle like a boat or ATV.

This new endeavor by the Environmental Protection Agency again raises the question of whether or not using ethanol in our gasoline is even a green practice?  The amount of water, land, and resources used to produce all the corn is likely to outweigh the reduced amount of emissions that it eventually creates.  Plus, farmers are having a hard time keeping up with the demand and consumers are seeing higher prices on other items like meat that require corn to feed the livestock.

Obama Challenges Auto Industry: 62 mpg Standard

President Obama and his administration have recently announced their challenge to the auto industry: raise your fuel average to 62 mpg by the end of 2025.  Seems simple enough, right?  Hopefully the luxury line up from Manchester Mercedes-Benz will be able to comply with such high standards.  Remember that this change won't happen over night and the increase in technology to make that goal attainable will happen over time.  Before that happens, keep your current vehicle running as long as possible by visiting places like Richmond Body Shop Dealers.  The motto in America is leaning towards "reduce, reuse, recycle," so do your part and keep your car running and out of junk yards.

Even Portland Volvo Coupons are in effect right now to encourage the purchase of their new fuel efficient vehicles.  If the average fuel economy of vehicles is in the 47-62 mpg range by 2025, then we will have seen a 3-6% increase in fuel efficiency annually over that length of time.  When you break it down that way, the growth sure does seem completely possible.  Auto makers are excited for the challenge, but the fuel bill hasn't been made final yet.  Given the overwhelming positive response it would be unlikely that the bill wouldn't pass.

For people still in doubt that all the cars on the road will have that kind of fuel economy by 2025, remember that it is an average among the fleet.  CAFE is the acronym standing for Corporate Average Fuel Economy.  All vehicle's within an auto maker's brand that weigh less than 8,500 pounds are taken into consideration.  The fuel economy among the entire fleet must meet the current CAFE goal.  Right now, the current CAFE goal is 27.5 mpg, which it has been since 1989; before that it was 18 mpg.  By 2016 the fuel economy ratings must be up to 35.5, and with the introduction of more electric vehicles and hybrids, that should be readily attainable.

September Sales are Up and Down, Comparatively!

Whenever data is conflicting, there has to be an interesting story or reason behind it.  There are a few components to explain why auto sales have declined over the course of the summer but are actually higher than September 2009.  The cars from Ford Lincoln Mercury Cincinnati have been selling much better than last year at this time, and that is likely due to the fact that Ford has released some great new technology on their vehicles this year.  The vehicles from Honda Warwick also make up a bigger piece of the market share pie when compared to how they did at this time last year.

Despite all that great news, the experts at Edmunds.com are forecasting that sales for September 2010 are going to be higher than September 2009 but lower than just last month.  This could be partially because dealers like Mazda CT aren’t offering the same great incentives that they have in the past.  Another reason that some auto brands are experiencing bigger sales has to do with their production of quality economical cars.  It has been reported frequently lately that smaller cars are the way of the future.

Edmunds.com did not report about all the auto brands, but the six they mentioned that have had increases in the market share percentage have all made significant efforts in their compact car class.  Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors have increased their market share and now have, respectively, 10.1%, 16.4%, and 18.3% market share.  Chrysler has paired up to release the small Fiat, Ford just brought their Fiesta stateside, and GM has the upcoming Chevy Cruze and Volt.  Japanese giants Honda, Nissan, and Toyota have also increased their market share percentages.  Honda now makes up 11.2%, Nissan 7.2%, and Toyota has 15.2%.  These three brands also have strong competitors in the compact car class.

EVs at the Paris Auto Show!

Electric vehicles are the new "it" concept, and we will see plenty of them unveiled at the Paris Auto Show 2010 at the end of this month.  Car makers are realizing that we have to do something above and beyond what is currently being done to make cars more fuel efficient.  It is unlikely Freightliner Trucks Fort Lauderdale will ever have something that is powered by an electric motors, but wouldn't it be impressive if they did!  Even though Sprinter Vans Miami still consumer a fair amount of gas, at least they promote carpooling which helps reduce emissions overall.

Most of the new vehicles that will be unveiled at the auto show are concept cars that are still works in progress.  Some of the cars that were concept cars in the past are now in actual production.  The new Nissan Leaf and Chevy Volt are both electric vehicles that are going to soon be available in select urban markets where commuters have a greater need than their rural counterparts.  The cars at Honda Jackson have already been known for their fuel efficiency, but there are always bigger and better things on the horizon.

Cars that are actually in production and will be unveiled in their new and improved form include the Ford Focus and the Chevy Aveo.  Both have had a makeover to improve just about every facet of their being!  Saab, Mini, Nissan, Audi, and Kia all have electric vehicle concept cars that they are set to have debut in Paris at the end of this month.  The Kia Pop is a three seat electric vehicle that is incredibly affordable to operate.  The Nissan Townpod will be a larger version of the already popular Nissan Leaf, and specifications won't be released until the auto show.  Consumers can expect some exciting news reports after the auto show takes place and the media is allowed inside to snoop around!

Tennessee: The "Green" Place To Be!

You can find plenty of hybrid cars at Johnston Used Cars, but you definitely aren't going to find the brand new Nissan Leaf sitting there.  This electric vehicle is only being released in a few choice markets to start out with, but many of the debut states are offering some kind of kickback to its residents to help the electric car idea take hold and gain popularity.  The way things are going with Americans becoming more eco-conscious, we are bound to see an efficient model from Pittsburgh Mercedes-Benz sooner than later.

Some states are offering great incentives to people who purchase an electric vehicle.  California still has the best deal for now; you get $5,000 cash back, a free EV charger worth $2,000, and you get to drive solo in the HOV lanes during traffic.  The green news is focusing on Tennessee right now because there will be the new Nissan Leaf factory there in 2012.  Another EV competitor is the Chevy Volt, which you might be able to find from Detroit Chevrolet.  The Nissan Leaf is priced far more competitively at $32,780 compared to the $41,000 price tag on the Chevy Volt.

To make themselves a little more green, Tennessee is offering a $2,500 cash rebate to the buyers of the first 1,000 Nissan Leaf vehicles.  Remember, there is also a federal tax credit in place for electronic vehicles in the amount of $7,500.  Tennessee is also home to the Volkswagen auto plant and boasts some of the highest internet speeds in the world!  Many Americans have heard about The EV Project, which is getting vehicle chargers out on the roads to help drivers.  Another company, ECOtality has teamed up with The EV Project and is busy setting up plans for EV freeways all across the country.  Their most recent news includes 425 miles of EV freeway in Tennessee.

The Start also has an exterior that is bring in reviews. Unlike other vehicles in this class the Ford Start has a sleek main stream look. This Ford gives you sleek curves and main stream lines. By doing this Ford has made the Start one of the best looking models in it's class, because most vehicles in this class look like some thing from outer space.

Altima Hybrid: Affordable Eco-Car!

One of America's favorite cars is now available as a hybrid model!  The 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid HEV has a starting price of only $26,780.  Seeing as how this is such a new car, it is unlikely that you will find one at Fort Worth Used Cars, but go ahead and check because you never know what kind of great deal they might be offering.  There is only one trim level available, but there are some package options that drivers will love.  Plus, the Altima Hybrid starts out nicely equipped.  People can spend a lot more on a Prius from Salt Lake City Toyota Scion making it their dream car.

Drivers will love getting 35 mpg around town and 33 mpg on the highway.  We would like to see most of the cars at Fort Worth Dodge Chrysler try to come close to those numbers!  Standard equipment includes power accessories, keyless entry and ignition, CD player with auxiliary jack, steering column that tilts and telescopes, and dual zone climate control.  That list of features includes a lot of equipment that normally you would have to pay for as an optional upgrade.  There are three packages of options available, and you have to get them in order: Convenience, Premium, and Technology.  To clarify, if you want the Technology package then you also have to purchase the other two packages.  The way Nissan set up their options can make this an expensive process.  The Convenience Package costs $1,300, the Premium is $4,230, and the Technology Package is $1,780.

Currently, the Altima Hybrid is only sold in a handful of states: Oregon and California on the West Coast, and the majority of the New England States.  Drivers will notice a lot of similarities between this and the Toyota Camry Hybrid, as Nissan obtained a license from Toyota.  But, Nissan drivers will enjoy more horsepower and overall performance.

Hybrids Save You Money!

It might cost a little extra when you decide to buy the Hybrid Escape from Saginaw Ford Lincoln Mercury Dealers rather than the regular gas engine model, but in the long run, you will wind up saving money.  Not only will you save money on gas over the life that you own the vehicle, but you might even get a tax credit.  Knowing that there is an opportunity to save money is a huge selling point that might motivate Reading Suzuki Dealers to join the hybrid competitive market.  Plus, you are helping to save the planet and reduce emissions into the atmosphere.

You will have to check with Pittsburgh Kia Dealers or your local car dealer specifically to see if any of the vehicles they sell qualify for a tax credit.  You also might want to check with an IRS website to see if your vehicle qualifies for the tax credit.  While it used to be offered on hybrid models like the popular Prius, the requirements are getting a bit tighter as years pass.  Just like the government offered a housing tax credit to first time home buyers that was quite generous to stimulate the economy, by subsidizing the cost of the newer technology vehicles, it helps the vehicles sell.

If you look at it from an idealistic point of view that everyone in the country would drive an alternative fuel source vehicle or even one of the new electric vehicles, then there would be no need for government subsidies.  The truth of the matter is that people are resistant to change, when looking across the broad spectrum.  Just like people who go out for a used car but get swayed into a new car because it is a better price with the dealer and manufacturer rebates being offered, people will find themselves driving off the lot in an eco-friendly car they never thought they could afford.

2011 Ford Fiesta Review;

The 2011 Ford Fiesta has been reviewed by several United States car reviewers at is has finally reached a number of dealers and other businesses. The Ford Fiesta will be found at Ford Dealer Knoxville dealerships among other dealerships throughout the country. The European version of the Ford Fiesta has been a popular subcompact vehicle model and the American version has a high amount of anticipation as well. The Ford Fiesta features excellent fuel efficiency like models that are sold at Infiniti Dealer Boston and other dealerships.

Ford is helping its dealerships compete with Mercedes-Benz Dealer Lexington with its latest Ford and Lincoln models with its high quality latest vehicle models. The Ford Fiesta is a very distinctive model and it really stands out from other competing models. The Fiesta is sporty and it features air intakes above and below the front bumper and high mounted tail lamps.

The Ford Fiesta has a delay due to a hurricane that disrupted rail lines and caused parts to be delayed, otherwise dealerships would have seen the Fiesta weeks earlier than they have. The Ford Fiesta is assembled in Mexico and it features a 120 horsepower 1.6 liter four cylinder engine. Most Fiestas will have a six-speed PowerShift automatic manual transmission. The sixth gear will offer the Fiesta an increased fuel efficiency.

The Ford Fiesta is certainly considered a green vehicle as it gets excellent fuel economy. The Fiesta gets 28 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway and the highest mileage for the Fiesta features 29 mpg in the city and 40 on the highway with the automatic manual gearbox and other additions that improve fuel efficiency. The Ford Fiesta has exception handling and control. The model is also specious and comfortable for being such a small model.

Nissan and Hawaii Partnership.

While it may have a starting price of $32,780, the Nissan Leaf is still one of the most affordable green cars that will be available.  Sure, the cars from Chrysler Dodge Dealer Reading are attractive and powerful, but none of them can compare with the zero emission fully electric Nissan Leaf.  Plus, for those people who live in Hawaii, they can own one of these highly innovative vehicles for around $20,000!  Due to a partnership established between North American Nissan and the State of Hawaii, there are some great incentives being offered to residents of one of the first launch markets for the green car.  Hyundai Dealer Reading can't compete with that, no matter how much their reputation for quality has improved lately.

Currently, there is a $7,500 federal tax credit in place for people who purchase the 2011 Nissan Leaf.  Hawaii has agreed to offer a $4,500 state level tax credit as well as $500 off the price if buyers get the at home charging station.  Hawaii has been a leader when it comes to being energy efficient and creating affordable and renewable forms of energy for their citizens.  Nissan vehicles have been successful in the predominantly Asian market of Hawaii, and it only made sense for Nissan to partner up with this innovative state to help launch their new car and make it a success.  The cars at Acura Dealer Pittsburgh might be really attractive, but they can't compare to the low cost of ownership for the Leaf!

When you break down the cost of how much it costs to charge the Nissan Leaf, it averages a mere five cents per mile.  It is hard to put that into perspective, but it would add up to a dollar for twenty miles and three dollars for sixty miles!  If we are currently paying about $3.00 per gallon of gas right now, imagine getting 60 mpg
