Altima Hybrid: Affordable Eco-Car!

One of America's favorite cars is now available as a hybrid model!  The 2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid HEV has a starting price of only $26,780.  Seeing as how this is such a new car, it is unlikely that you will find one at Fort Worth Used Cars, but go ahead and check because you never know what kind of great deal they might be offering.  There is only one trim level available, but there are some package options that drivers will love.  Plus, the Altima Hybrid starts out nicely equipped.  People can spend a lot more on a Prius from Salt Lake City Toyota Scion making it their dream car.

Drivers will love getting 35 mpg around town and 33 mpg on the highway.  We would like to see most of the cars at Fort Worth Dodge Chrysler try to come close to those numbers!  Standard equipment includes power accessories, keyless entry and ignition, CD player with auxiliary jack, steering column that tilts and telescopes, and dual zone climate control.  That list of features includes a lot of equipment that normally you would have to pay for as an optional upgrade.  There are three packages of options available, and you have to get them in order: Convenience, Premium, and Technology.  To clarify, if you want the Technology package then you also have to purchase the other two packages.  The way Nissan set up their options can make this an expensive process.  The Convenience Package costs $1,300, the Premium is $4,230, and the Technology Package is $1,780. 

Currently, the Altima Hybrid is only sold in a handful of states: Oregon and California on the West Coast, and the majority of the New England States.  Drivers will notice a lot of similarities between this and the Toyota Camry Hybrid, as Nissan obtained a license from Toyota.  But, Nissan drivers will enjoy more horsepower and overall performance.

2011 Ford Fiesta Review;

The 2011 Ford Fiesta has been reviewed by several United States car reviewers at is has finally reached a number of dealers and other businesses. Nissan and Hawaii Partnership.

Currently, there is a $7,500 federal tax credit in place for people who purchase the 2011 Nissan Leaf.  Hawaii has agreed to offer a $4,500 state level tax credit as well as $500 off the price if buyers get the at home charging station.  Hawaii has been a leader when it comes to being energy efficient and creating affordable and renewable forms of energy for their citizens.  Nissan vehicles have been successful in the predominantly Asian market of Hawaii, and it only made sense for Nissan to partner up with this innovative state to help launch their new car and make it a success.  The cars at Acura Dealer Pittsburgh might be really attractive, but they can't compare to the low cost of ownership for the Leaf!

When you break down the cost of how much it costs to charge the Nissan Leaf, it averages a mere five cents per mile.  It is hard to put that into perspective, but it would add up to a dollar for twenty miles and three dollars for sixty miles!  If we are currently paying about $3.00 per gallon of gas right now, imagine getting 60 mpg!

NADA is in Opposition to Fuel Economy Labels;

The National Automobile Dealers Association announced that they are in opposition to the new proposed fuel labels that are being suggested by EPA and other government officials. The labels would be required to be put on all vehicles sold at Toyota Dealer Los Angeles, and dealerships are worried that the labels would end up hurting sales for some models. Industry experts and others have also opposed the new labels which they believe to be unfair in their comparison. The new labels might affect sales of vehicles sold at dealerships such as Honda Dealer Los Angeles and others.

The labels would feature a grade of A+ to D- that would be based on the vehicle's fuel economy and emissions and nothing more. Dealerships feel that the label leaves out too many other features that can be considered useful by consumers. Ford Dealer Pittsburgh sells several vehicle models that are excellent in their vehicle fuel efficiencies, however there are always going to be some larger models such as pickups and SUVs that are not as fuel efficient as sedans or subcompacts.

Some dealers that offer fewer subcompact or hybrid models may also be hurt by the new fuel labels. The Obama Administration is behind the new label proposal as well and the new proposal was unveiled on Monday. The new vehicle label also has the backing of a number of environmental protection groups.

NADA released a statement saying this, “NADA opposes changes that would confuse the buying public, make vehicle purchasing decisions more difficult or treat certain automakers or fuel types unfairly ”

The purpose of the vehicle stickers is to help consumers make decisions about which vehicles are better for the environment. Others have criticized the vehicle labels because of the use of a "grade" system which may seem to be somewhat outdated and myopic in its focus. The label system would leave out important information on safety and other features that may be just as important for consumers that are shopping for new vehicle models.
